Carbon Fiber Infrared Heat Lamps: The Real-World Heat You Need
We built these carbon fiber infrared heat lamps for the industrial jobs where you just can’t wait around. The kind where heat has to be fast, focused, and right on target to keep your cycle times on track. We offer three power levels—500W, 800W, and 1200W—so you can match the heat to the job, not the other way around.
Power that Fits the Work
Picking the right wattage is about matching the heat to the task. The 500W unit is your go-to when space is tight and you can’t crowd the area with components. Step up to 800W when you need the temperature to climb faster. And when you’re running heavier duty cycles and need serious heat per square inch, the 1200W is the one. It’s all about control. We tune the infrared output through the filament design and operating temperature. A hotter filament shifts the peak wavelength, which matters when you’re trying to match how the part absorbs heat. We make sure the lamp and the process work together, so you get consistent heat without overshooting.
The Inside Story: What Makes Them Tick
Carbon fiber filaments are the real deal. They handle thermal shock far better than traditional wire filaments, heating up and cooling down quickly. That means you get responsive, rapid on/off control. The quartz envelope keeps the filament stable and protects it from contamination—no fuss, just dependable performance. And those coatings—clear, ruby, and gold—are way more than just looks. They’re optical filters that shape the output. Clear gives you broad IR coverage. Ruby cuts down on visible glare and pushes the output toward longer wavelengths. Gold takes it even further, boosting absorption on certain plastics and coatings. We pair these lamps with an R7s connector because it’s a proven, high-temperature interface. It installs fast and stays aligned, even in tight housings.
Built for the Grind, Built to Last
These lamps are made for real industrial work: curing, drying, laminating, preheating. The carbon fiber construction gives you a long service life when you operate within the rated voltage and temperature. And with the coating options, you can fine-tune the spectrum to match your material. One thing to keep in mind: higher wattage packs intense heat into a small footprint, but it also raises the local ambient heat. So plan your cooling and shielding accordingly.
