What They’re Made Of
The tubes themselves are quartz, because it holds up under extreme heat and lets infrared energy pass through cleanly. Many of these lamps are halogen-filled, which keeps the filament steady and helps the output stay consistent over time. Plus, an IR-reflective coating on the outside pushes more energy back onto your target, so you’re not wasting a single watt. And for the connectors, they use the R7s standard. It’s there because it handles high current, locks in securely, and makes installation a straight shot—perfect for those linear fixtures.
