
The Truth About Our 1000W Carbon Fiber FIR Lamps
We built these 1000W carbon fiber lamps for a very specific problem: needing heat to soak deep into a material without burning the top layer to a crisp. Most people are used to standard quartz heaters. But we swapped those out for a carbon fiber filament. That one change shifts the heat into the far-infrared (FIR) range, and that’s where the magic happens. Why 1000W? It’s all about the punch. At 1000W, you’re getting a serious amount of concentrated heat. Because we use carbon fiber, that heat spreads evenly across the whole tube rather than bunching up in one spot. The best part? You can fit more power into a smaller space. Your heating bank stays compact, your ramp-up times drop, and your production line actually starts moving faster. It’s a win-win. The “Deep Heat” Secret Here is the thing about the physics: we wrap that carbon fiber element in high-purity quartz. Since FIR waves have longer wavelengths, they don’t just bounce off the surface—they dive deep into whatever you’re heating. If you’re trying to dry thick plastics or cure heavy coatings, this is your best bet. Short-wave lamps often bake the outside while the center stays ice cold. With FIR, the heat actually gets where it needs to go. Getting Them Up and Running We designed these to be simple drop-in replacements. Just wire them into your existing controllers, dial in your PID loops, and you’re good to go. One heads-up, though. Carbon fiber is a bit more delicate than old-school metal coils. It doesn’t love being shaken. If your machinery vibrates a lot, do yourself a favor and use dampened brackets. It keeps the filament from snapping and saves you a headache later. A Few Things to Watch Out For 1000W puts out a lot of heat—not just into your product, but into the air around it. Make sure your fans and vents can handle the soak, or things will get uncomfortable quickly. And please, keep the tubes clean. If oil or dust builds up on the quartz, you’ll get “hot spots” that can burn the lamp out. A quick wipe-down goes a long way in making these last.
