Really fast. The heat doesn’t just sit on the surface; it actually sinks into your material, which makes the whole process way more efficient. The Power and the Fit We settled on 800W for a 302mm length because it hits that sweet spot. You get a concentrated blast of heat, but it’s not so aggressive that you’ll burn out the filament. It’s perfect for those cramped oven footprints where you’re fighting for every inch of space but still need the temperature to climb quickly. Just a heads-up: double-check your power supply. If you’re firing up a bunch of these at once, you don’t want to be the person who trips the breaker for the whole shop. Why Carbon Fiber? Here’s the thing about carbon fiber: it handles the “stretch” of heating and cooling much better than metal coils. It won’t warp or sag over time, even after thousands of cycles. We wrap the filament in a quartz envelope to keep it from oxidizing. This creates a specific kind of infrared heat that cuts through the surface and gets deep into the product. For most of you, they’ll just slide right into your existing industrial circuits. If you’ve got an old curing oven with halogen tubes, these usually work as a direct swap. But there is one catch. Carbon fiber is a bit sensitive to being knocked around. If your machinery vibrates a lot,use dampened mounts. If the quartz tube rattles too much, it can crack, and once that happens, the filament is toast. Also, keep an eye on your airflow. You want it balanced so you don’t end up with annoying cold spots across that 302mm span.
